SALEM is the founder of FRV and is a non-executive director. A successful lawyer by profession, he negotiated with Wetling EU to acquire the WMCS W200 sole distributorship for several major markets.
He has put together a strong team to lead FRV and contributes his experience, acumen and strategy.
TIM PATERSON-BROWN is Scottish and has a BA from London University and an MA from Cambridge University.
Tim invested in a series of businesses, living in America for 10 years and the Middle East for 5 years, returning to London in 2003. Tim joined MGT Capital Investments in December 2003 as a Director, was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2004 and Chairman in 2007.
He was also Chairman of the company’s main subsidiaries, Medicsight plc and Medicexchange plc..
Tim led the listing of MGT from the Bulletin Board to the American Exchange, “ringing the bell in 2007” and also led the IPO of its subsidiary Medicsight on the London Stock Exchange on AIM.
Medicsight developed proprietary software for medical imaging scanning machines and developed a series of products including heart, lung and colon and entered into Agreements and Partnerships with major players including Toshiba and Infinitt. Medicsight’s Colon CAD was the only CAD product in a trial by the British Special Interest Group comparing CTC with two other widely used imagine approaches, Optical Colonoscopy and X-ray after a barium enema. ColonCAD was also integrated into the visualisation software used to read CTC examinations for the French STOC trial which was recruiting patients in 2008 and the Japanese National Cancer Centre in Tokyo adopted Medicsight’s ColonCAD for the first CTC Colon cancer screening programme in Japan. Medicsight’s ColonCAD received FDA approval in America in 2010. Tim handed over control of the company to American investors before the software was eventually sold to Samsung. At its peak Medicsight was capitalised at £240m.
Tim has an ongoing involvement with MedicExchange which has evolved into one of the world’s largest directories of medical companies, medical devices and services providing categorised lists of devices and services that can be filtered, searched and compared to allow healthcare providers to plan or investigate possible solutions or capital purchases for their clinics or hospitals.
Tim has vast exposure to the healthcare industry. He has headed pioneering work in medical imaging software and lead its penetration in the USA, Europe, Middle East, and Asia.
He contributes his talent and experience to the development and growth of FRV.
ANDERS BERGLUND is Swedish and has a B. Sc. in Innovation Engineering from the Halmstad University in Sweden. He has over 25 years’ experience in establishing high-tech businesses throughout the Asia Pacific region. Anders has called Singapore “home” since 1990 and founded a number of regional sales and support operations in industries including cash handling, IT and Telecom service.
Strong all-round operational execution skills combined with an analytical mindset have propelled Anders to a sought after leader and advisor for various start-ups in the region.
Anders started his career in product development, where he designed instruments for rheological measurements in various industries, including pharma. Lately Anders acted as an external advisor and provided visionary directions for a Scandinavian manufacturer of Raman spectrometry instrumentation.
Anders has also conceived the “FRV Global Intel System”. This is FRV’s backbone IT system for global device management and regulatory compliance amongst Wetling and FRV management and administration, our sub-distributors, manufacturing & service providers, the user community and customer support.
